  • SIAMS

We are pleased to share the outcome of our most recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection where we were awarded a Judgement 1, the highest possible outcome.

This inspection provides an opportunity to reflect on how effectively our school lives out its Christian vision and values, and how these shape the experiences of all members of our community.

The inspection recognised that St James and St John Church of England Primary School is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling both pupils and adults to flourish.

The report highlights many strengths across the school, including:

    • Leaders ensure flourishing for pupils and adults has the highest priority.
    • Personal development and mental health are prioritised.
    • The wide range of additional opportunities enables pupils to flourish in a variety of ways.
    • Pupils who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are able to prosper alongside their peers.
    • Pupils prosper because they are supported to develop their talents beyond the classroom.
    • Opportunities for spiritual growth are provided, through moments of stillness, personal reflection and prayer.
    • Relationships between pupils and between pupils and adults are overwhelmingly positive.
    • RE has a high status within the life of this school.
    • Values are securely embedded

We are very proud of our SIAMS report and remain committed to our vision:

“We unite together to enable all to prosper in every aspect of their life.”

We will continue to build on these strengths to ensure the very best experiences and outcomes for all members of our school community.
